Fluctuating Creative Focus

I seem to have taken an unintentional hiatus from posting on Glitterus Wolfus!

My creativity has always been a thing of flux. I have so many interests and there are so many ways I like to express and explore them. Glitterus Wolfus has been my attempt to tie together all the things I do, but it still needs some refining.

In the last year or so, I’ve focused more on writing than anything else. My abilities to slip into writing mode at any time and turn stories and personal essays out quickly have improved exponentially.

Last month, however, I took a break from writing and posting to focus on performing, and by extension, costumes and makeup. I’ve really pushed myself and grown as a performer, and I’m looking forward to sharing more about my month of drag.

I’ve been wanting to focus more on video. I’m full of ideas for movies, and have quite a bit of footage I’ve been dying to edit. Outdated technology has kept me from doing as much video as I want, but that is about to change!

I wrote recently about feeling I was in a major transition, and a big part of that is a professional change. I am leaving a job I’ve done for five years to focus on a new opportunity.

For once in my life, I’m going to be working at a job that allows me to be on a computer while I’m at work, and I am blessed to have been able to pick out a new computer and editing setup that I’ll be able to work on and work off until eventually it belongs to me!

I am thrilled to enter a new era in my career. It will be a while before I sort everything out, but I can’t wait to finally be able to spend time online promoting what I do, and finally pour my energy into producing the videos I’ve been planning!

Are you ready for more drag-related movies, video essays about gender and LEGO, and so much more? I know I am!!!
